Memorial Day Weekend... with the Berretts

For Memorial Day we went to visit the Berretts in Pocatello. We had a blast. We had this amazing dinner... then Jayse, Guano (Tori), and Me went to the park. Jayse and Tori went barefoot so i had to carry them up the hill. Then we walked back home... It turns out that the Berretts had just purchased a jeep so Jayse took is on a couple rides. it was WAY AMAZING!!!! We (Sean and Me) then stayed up till midnight talking to Ryanne and Tori, Jayse fell asleep, and then at 12:30ish, Tori and Ryanne painted Sean's and mine nails. When I woke up i immediately took them off. We then went to a Memorial Day breakfast at the church. Then we went on more Jeep rides. And to wrap it all up we went disc golfing... ans of course Jayse and me took off our shirts and had a blast... first we went to one at a park... then to one on the side of a mountain. IT WAS A TOTALLY AWESOME WEEKEND!!!!!! And while we were there we convinced our mom to take us to a Relient k Concert on Thursday!!! I can't wait!!!!

Look at that monster!!

My Cause and Effect Essay for English

Most people like to play video games. I agree with many people that they are fun. But when you are playing them five hours a day, and only get off when your parents pull out the cords there is something wrong with you! Video games don’t get me wrong, are not always great for you, but they can help you. The army uses gun games to help the sharpshooters aim, rock band is a fun way to chill with friends. But the thing that really matters is how we choose to play them, I will explain negative effects of too much video games, positive effects of video games, and the after math of too much video games.
The negative effects are easier to see. When playing games meant for only one person to play have a dramatic effect on their social behavior. They go from being normal happy children to leave me alone kids. Also kids that play more violent games are more likely to get in fights and break laws than those that don’t play them. A study done in two thousand one by Children Now found that among top ten best selling games were eighty-nine percent contained violence and that seventy- nine percent of games that were rated e for everyone contained violence. That is a big amount considering how many games there are. They can also teach the player playing them that aggressive behavior is tolerated. If you play video games too much they can become addictive. Don’t think this will never happen to you because it happened to my four year old brother. I don’t like most video games much myself either. One out of eight gamers are likely to become addicted, if they play every day. When you play video games for a while you obviously have to have a lot of time to ourselves so that means that kids will skip their home work to play video games. This will mean lower grades and the kids will eventually lose sight of real life.
Here are some positive effects I found for playing video games. They introduce kids to technology. They learn how to do things that are more complex on the game they are playing. They can do family games. The Wii is a good example; lots of games that are for it can include several players. These are the games I really like to play. Moreover they can also help allow individualism, and help the player to make good or poor choices. Also depending upon the game they can help the person think and actually learn. Don’t count on this excuse for playing more time on the video game because it only applies to a few video games.
The after maths of video games are pretty dramatic. One kid who played World of War Craft for twenty- four hours collapsed and had convulsions. I am pretty sure this won’t happen to most people but it will happen if you make poor decisions. Something that happens to me is if I play for over forty- five minutes I start to get a headache and feel dizzy. I just can never figure out how some people play for over three hours. That is obviously way to much free time on our hands.
A lot of examples in my essay are very dramatic and won’t happen to most of us. Still the fact that kids play hours of video games a day is what scares me. The people who work Mypyramid.gov have added stairs to it saying that we need to exercise. Now they didn’t show some one sitting in front of a television playing video games so get out and do something. Although lots of this stuff is extreme, I hoped you learned about the negative effects of to much video games, positive effects of video games, and the after math of too much video games.

A Poem From Jayse

LOVE
Love is a Powerful thing—
It is something that keeps people Wishing.
Nothing can destroy it in its True form,
But False versions of it are Easily torn.

Love has the ability to either Make or Break a Heart—
When it is True and works out it is a Beautiful art
But when False and destroyed it can Ruin a person—
It has potential to send them into an Endless depression.

True Love is the most Amazing thing in the Earth—
It can—it Does—give one a feeling of Rebirth.
It’s as if Nothing matters but that Special One—
And without them—your life—with it you would simply be Done.
Jasye Berrett

The Dark Knight

The Joker is my favorite character in the whole world!! Heath Ledger was the absolutely best choice for the actor of the Joker. It was a shame he died. He was hilarious (even though my mom doesn't think so, i do). The way he and Batman went back and forth fighting and the Joker said to Batman, " I agree with them on this. I won't kill you, you're just too much fun." I agreeI totally tought this movie was amazing. These two guys were just meant to duel it out forever ( and i wish they would).
Go Batman!!(and Alfred!!!!)
P.S. Bruce Wayne, Jim Gordon & all his cops, the Mobsters, The insane dude (Tom Crane... I think), The judges, Harvey Dent/ 2 face, Rachel Daws, Lucious Fox, all the Clowns, the busdriver, and all the rest of the people are ok too; even though they are no where near the Joker, Batman, or Alfred
